About Ecoweave

Ecoweave is run by Victoria Vivian, trading as a sole trader, based in Bridgend, South Wales, UK. A full business address is available on request. You can contact me at vicky@ecoweave.co.uk.

Products

• Every item is made by hand to order from upcycled crisp packets, together with other materials such as cotton thread, zips and metal catches.
• Because they're handmade, small variations in pattern, colour placement and which packets appear where are normal, and part of the character of each piece. No two items are ever quite identical, even in the same style.
• Product photographs are a genuine representation of the item, but colours can look slightly different from screen to screen.
• My products are not toys and are not intended for use by children.

Customisation

Most items can be made in a colour or theme of your choosing, and I'm always happy to hear ideas. Custom work can take longer than the usual timeframe. Choosing your own colour or theme doesn't affect your right to change your mind, and only personalised pieces, such as one with a name worked into the design, fall outside it. The Returns policy explains this in full.

Prices

• All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£).
• I am not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on my prices.
• Prices don't include postage. See Postage details for delivery costs.
• Prices can change at any time, but the price shown when you place your order is the price you pay.

Making time and delivery

• Since everything is made by hand, making time varies by product, from a few days for smaller pieces up to around a month for the largest. Where I can give an indication, it's on the product page.
• If you need to know when a particular item is likely to be ready, email me before you order and I'll give you an estimate.
• Delivery time comes on top of making time. See Postage details for postage options.
• I currently ship to UK mainland addresses only.
• If your order is going to take noticeably longer than the usual making time for that item, I'll email you as soon as I know.

Payment, orders and the contract between us

• Payment is taken through PayPal when you place your order, unless we've agreed something else.
• The contract between us is formed at the point PayPal accepts your payment. There is no separate confirmation step from me, so your PayPal receipt is your record of the order.
• I may still need to cancel an order after that point, for example if a colour or theme you've asked for turns out not to be achievable, or if I can't complete it in a reasonable time. If that happens I'll email you and refund you in full.

Faulty items

If your item arrives faulty or not as described, contact me as soon as you can, with photos if you're able. You're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and I'll cover return postage. This doesn't affect your other statutory rights.

Liability

I take care to make sure every item is well made and safe for the use it's intended for. I'm not liable for damage or loss caused by misuse of a product, or by using it for something other than its intended purpose.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Your privacy

How I handle your personal information is set out in the Privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute can be brought before the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page and apply to orders placed after the update.
